About
I founded Wasatch Technical Rescue with a simple goal: to raise the standard of technical rescue training in our region. With over 25 years of climbing and mountaineering experience and 18 years in emergency services and technical rescue operations, I've seen firsthand what works and what doesn't in the real world.
Throughout my career, I have helped various agencies and organizations develop their technical rescue teams, been involved in the purchasing of equipment, development of SOPs/SOGs, curriculum design, testing, and training delivery.
I am passionate about bridging the gap between classroom theory and the chaotic reality of a rescue scene.
When I'm not teaching rescue, then you can usually find me teaching firefighting for the Utah Fire and Rescue Academy. When I have the free time, I like to spend time rafting, camping, and exploring the great outdoors with my lovely wife and pup.
